My Grandpa and Granny at 101 Main Street, Milngavie, where I grew up.
Behind them you can see the greenhouses and in the distance is the Burnbrae, the home ground of the West of Scotland Rugby Club.
Granny and Granpa are sitting on the cold frames, these were covered on colder days with glass, we used to stand at eitehr side and lift them on and off to
protect the plants. The greenhouse on the right with the door open was the potting shed, where all the planting up and pricking out was done. The greenhouse directly behind my Grandpa was called the Dutch House, it
was a wooden framed house and stood for many many years.
The houses on the right were demolished to allow for the new Garden Centre to be built.
