This is Thomas Russell Matthews and Jean Gardiner Woods on their wedding day on 31 January 1935 in Petone, New Zealand.

Jean's grandfather was Alexander Hamilton Thomson who was born in Chapelhall and who emigrated on baord the Chyebassa to Australia in 1894.
